Let's be honest, we all love Amazon. Time and time again, our rescue has found ourselves on Amazon or Chewy, and today I've put together a collection of our favorite stuff. Here is a short list of the animal rescue necessities you can get affordably! Nothing here is sponsored or anything like that, just supported by our own experiences!
This amazing, leak proof, portable water dispenser water bottle is amazing for taking your pet out into the world. I personally like the 12 oz size and frequently give this as a gift to our new adopters! We love the overall versatility of these bottles, and they are prefect for dogs of all sizes and ages, and puppies love them! The drinking feeder is a great size, not too big where water gets everywhere or not too small where the dog can barely drink. Whether I'm taking my personal dogs exploring the great outdoors, travelling or hiking with some rescues, I usually have one of these on me.
This AMAZING, budget friendly dog bed comes in all sizes, offers orthopedic benefits and is waterproof. We have these beds all over the rescue and they are pretty durable even with all the puppy mess. They come in all different colors and with a removable washable cover, which I so appreciate. Right now, I think we have 10 of these beds in Gray. It's a super elegant color, that puts some sophistication among chaos over here.
These dog treats are only $11 on Amazon, and these are the "fun" size, which I find is a good, bite size, occasional training treat that the dogs love and look forward to receiving. We have been using these for a few years now, and they are still the same, original treat it was when we first started buying them. I believe they come in different flavors, but the frequent winner is the Bacon Flavor. They come in 25 oz bags!
When we get new rescues, we begin switching over from whatever food they're on, (if they are on any) to this stuff. It's a safe, generic, good quality food that we've never had any problems with and is super affordable. I personally am not a big fan of the IAMS brand, but this kibble has impressed me. It's also made with real chicken, and even our picky eater rescues take on to it pretty quick with minimal complaints.
If you are on the hunt for an affordable, but good quality and durable toy for your pup, I recommend this one. They come in a wide variety of styles and shapes, and all are under $6! My favorite is the yellow chicken.
I really wish this came in a wider variety of sizes! The largest size they have of this model fits beagles, and the smallest, as you can see above, comfortably suits a Chihuahua, so their sizes run pretty small. These little vest harnesses are step in, and made of a soft, breathable mesh material. They are so adorable and come in two colors, plus they are reflective for safety.
Shock collars can be an effective and responsible, yet human tool in the right hands. If you are new to dog training, please do a ton of research with experienced people in the field before using one. This is a TRAINING AID only. I have used many SCs over the years, but none have worked as well for me as this one does. It has a 4200 FT range, and comes with a remote and the waterproof, electric collar. Has 4 training modes, a security lock and is rechargeable. Great for all breeds and sizes and also comes in a ton of colors, I love the cyan blue!
Another tried, true and loved dog treat, is literally anything from Good'N'Fun. All my dogs, and every dog I've ever gave one to, loved it! They come in a 1.5-pound bag, that's the only thing I don't like, just wish they could add more in a bag. All of the kabobs are wrapped with premium cuts of real chicken and are perfect for long-lasting entertainment and enrichment.
